Avik Arefin
Avik Arefin is a Mechatronics Engineer from Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET), recognized for his ability to integrate complex hardware systems with scalable software solutions. His technical portfolio is defined by international success, most notably as a lead member of Team Cortex Robotics. Under his technical contribution, the team secured 1st Place in Bangladesh, and 4th Place Worldwide for the 2025 JAXA-NASA Kibo Robot Challenge. His expertise also extends to machine learning and global tech advocacy, evidenced by his selection as a finalist in Huawei’s Seeds for the Future and his Top 10 finish at the Tech4Good competition in China.
In the commercial sector, Avik bridges the gap between engineering theory and consumer-ready products. He currently spearheads the development of the Armor Gold Secure Locker App for the US-based Aethes Corporation. His versatility as a developer is further demonstrated by the successful launch of diverse web platforms, including logistica4u.com and bscf.dev. Under his belt he experience includes, including industrial training at Forbes Marshall and a certification in Supervised Machine Learning from Stanford/DeepLearning AI.
Beyond his technical roles, he is serving as an Assistant Director at the Bangladesh Socio-Cultural Forum. Driven by a goal to solve real-world problems, Avik is focused on developing the next generation of consumer-centric technology that addresses both local and global challenges.
