Aurit Ahsan Ohi

Meet Aurit Ahsan, a passionate and driven law graduate with a focus on leadership, policy discourse, and advocacy for human rights, liberty, and social change from Rajshahi, Bangladesh. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B. Honors) from the Department of Law at the University of Rajshahi. As Local Coordinator for South Asia at Students for Liberty since 2025, he leads the largest international pro-liberty student organization, selected from over 1,500 applicants in Bangladesh. He is also a Fellow in the Commonwealth Asia Youth Alliance Advocacy Fellowship since 2025, chosen from over 1,000 applicants across Asia. Aurit participated in the UMSAILS-UAP Spring School 2024 on forced displacement and volunteered as Head of Communication for the International Conference on Human Rights and Social Justice 2023, coordinating teams and hundreds of participants. As Senior Vice-President of Rajshahi University Debating Organization since 2023, he has conducted numerous events. His achievements include acceptance into Cohort 4 of the 2025 Aspire Leadership Program by Harvard University, winning the Best Ad-hoc Committee award at the NILS-LEB National Model Legislative Assembly 2025, selection for the Youth Policy Summit 2024, and a full scholarship for the UMSAILS-UAP Spring School. With interests in debating, advocacy, youth activism, graphics designing, event management, volunteerism, and motorsports, Aurit brings a globally aware perspective to advance human rights through legal research and youth initiatives.
